Hotel or Villa? A villa holiday provides freedom to live just how you wish to, whilst on holiday. No race to put pool towels down, you can eat at whatever time suits you, no crowds to fight through and you can live on your own schedule. Also, when the kids are down for the night, you aren’t confined to one room, you still have the whole villa to enjoy.
Pool or Beach? I love the concept of the beach, but much prefer being able to jump in the pool and relax without hordes of people around me.
Favourite family villa holiday destination:
As a family, we have visited Mallorca for family villa holidays many times. We love Puerto Pollensa, Pollensa, Cala San Vicente and the Northern area of Mallorca in general. It is perfectly prepared for those seeking a villa holiday, with all the amenities and facilities that a family could wish for, plus guaranteed sunshine, beautiful beaches and a relaxed way of life. The cuisine is also incredible.
Top packing tip: It sounds pretty obvious but make a list of what you want to take and tick it off as you work your way through it. This way, you can prioritise essentials and pack accordingly.

Kellie’s love for travel was ignited at a young age, largely due to the numerous family villa holidays she enjoyed. However, it was during her time living and working in Greece that her desire to explore and her passion for travel was truly cemented. Kellie believes in collecting memories, not things, and family holidays are her favourite way to do this.
Kellie’s travels have seen her enjoy adventures across Europe, the USA and beyond. Not only has Kellie travelled extensively, but she has been able to do so as a single mum, with friends and as a family, almost always with varying ages, need and wants to be considered.

Hotel or Villa? Villa, I love the freedom that villa holidays offer, especially not having to deal with the frantic morning rush to secure the perfect spot by the pool. I also enjoy the freedom of villas, I’ve often found it tricky to meet everybody’s needs with hotels, whereas a villa gives us the flexibility to curate our own itinerary.
Pool or Beach? Beach, although I love a refreshing dip in the pool the sound of the ocean always wins me over.
Favourite family villa holiday destination: This is a tricky one, Greece, in particular Rhodes will always hold a special place in my heart, however, I also love the Balearic Islands and Croatia.
Top packing tip? Oh, I’ve got a good one! It always drove me insane that my summer hat would end up all kinds of odd shapes by the time I reached my destination. However, if you place your hat in your case first, upside down, ensure the trim is lying flat, then pad out the middle with your clothes to hold its shape, it will be just perfect on arrival. You’re welcome!
