I first joined the travel industry after finishing university almost 20 years ago and have never wanted to work in any other sector since. I have been extremely fortunate to have travelled the world within various different roles, visiting destinations that otherwise I most probably would never have seen. There are so many beautiful places to visit and I am proud to be involved in sharing some of them with you through the villa holidays that we offer. I truly love taking family villa holidays, having travelled away with friends initially, but more so with my family of late.

TOP TRAVEL TIP: Try the local food within your holiday destination. There are so many culinary delights to explore, so make sure you try as much as you can.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA:  Croatia – Villa Anna

I love Croatia, it is stunningly beautiful and full of heritage, so anywhere you choose to visit, you will not be disappointed. This villa is located on the Island of Brac, an easy ferry ride from Split. If you want a villa holiday to get away from it all, yet still have everything you need, then this villa will not disappoint.

I studied Tourism Business Management at university and graduated in 2016. I have always had a passion for travel since a young age and have been lucky enough to travel to many countries across the world. I started working at SPL Villas in September 2022 where I have been lucky enough to build working relationships across Europe and USA, to deliver the best villas available. Villa holidays are perfect for friends and families who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of a hotel and enjoy each other’s company from your own private surroundings.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Rhodes, Greece – Villa Seven 

Greece is a favourite holiday destination for me, and I have visited multiple times. Rhodes is a perfect destination if you are looking to experience good food, stunning views and beaches and lovely warm weather. 

I have always loved travelling and decided to study Tourism Business Management at the University of Greenwich in London.  After graduating I decided to take a gap year travelling the world and was lucky to travel to many amazing countries which include Japan, Thailand, New Zealand, America, Caribbean and Europe. Upon my return home I started working in the villa sector industry and have found a job I love! I have been fortunate to travel with my job in Europe and have met lots of amazing people with beautiful villas.  I now enjoy a villa holiday with my family and friends as we don’t have to worry about fighting for a sun bed and enjoy the privacy a villa provides.

TOP TRAVEL TIP: Immerse yourself in the culture and don’t be afraid to try different cuisines, talk to the locals and explore hidden gems. I like to research before travelling to find amazing restaurant recommendations, hidden beaches,  local markets etc

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Mallorca, Spain- Can Jaume

I love Spain and I think the Balearic islands are a brilliant choice for families as it offers lovely warm weather, beautiful sandy beaches and delicious cuisine. Also it is only a short flight which is a bonus when travelling with children. I love to choose a property which is close to amenities and the beach so I don’t always have to rely on a car, so Can Jaume is the perfect choice.

I first started working in the villa sector of the travel industry 17 years ago and have been a passionate advocate of villa holidays ever since. I have travelled with my job all over Europe and have stayed at some of the most wonderful villas in some of the most incredible destinations. I love taking a villa holiday with my family and friends and I have stayed in the majority of the destinations that SPL Villas feature.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Mallorca, Spain - Casablanca Carbo

I have had many wonderful villa holidays in Mallorca with friends and family. Pollensa, Cala San Vicente and Alcudia are perfect destinations for a villa holiday, with warm weather, friendly locals, beautiful family beaches and great cuisine to be found there. I love this villa as it has stunning sea views and it isn’t too far from the beach, the shops or the restaurants and cafes. 

I joined SPL Villas in January 2024 after completing my university degree. I had also previously helped out at the company in a temporary role. Making me relatively new to the travel sector. However, my enthusiasm for the travel industry has grown rapidly. I've been lucky enough to travel and experience some of the locations we have to offer at SPL Villas with friends and family. I do sincerely believe staying in villas gives freedom and privacy which is unique.

TOP TRAVEL TIP: If at all possible plan your trip during the off-peak season to enjoy better rates and a more relaxed atmosphere at your chosen destination.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Florida, USA - Villa Fulmar

I've been to Florida a few times now, visiting destinations like Orlando and Charlotte Harbor. These are perfect for a villa holiday, offering warm weather, friendly locals, beautiful scenery, and diverse cuisine. I think Villa Fulmar is fantastic thanks to its luxurious interior and location, being conveniently close to shops, restaurants, golf courses and only a 25 minute drive from Disney World.

I initially stumbled into the travel industry with no intention of making it my career, but it didn’t take long for me to discover a passion for it. Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with nearly every type of holiday, from traditional beach breaks to luxury getaways, family-orientated trips to special occasions. And thanks to this, I have been able to visit some fantastic places and form connections with people I may have never met otherwise. One destination that always stands out to me is Cyprus, a place I recommend everyone try at least once.  

TOP TRAVEL TIP: Don’t shy away from new experiences, whether it’s exploring a different destination, meeting new people, trying unique foods, or diving into unfamiliar activities. Embracing the unknown on your travels can lead to discovering new passions and creating unforgettable memories. And remember, book your travel insurance as soon as you finalize your plans—it's your safety net for a worry-free adventure.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Cyprus - Villa Coral Corinthia

Villa Coral Corinthia is a great villa situated just 15 meters from the Mediterranean shoreline. The villa has its own private swimming-pool, patio, and barbeque, and with in easy reach of restaurants, shops and the local town. Whether you’re after a relaxing getaway or a base to explore from, this villa has everything you could want.

I have been in the travel industry since 1994 and previously worked for a major high street travel agent where I gained most of my experience and expertise. Before joining SPL Villas, I was working for an independent family run travel company where I enjoyed compiling complex worldwide itineraries. When not endeavouring to deliver the best memories possible for my customers, I am either enjoying the sun or longing for its return.

TOP TRAVEL TIP: If you fancy a catered meal, why not ask us about local chefs, who can come and prepare you a delicious meal within your villa.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Turkey - Villa Azalea

I love visiting Turkey and have taken many family holidays to this destination. This villa is wonderfully spacious, private and offers superb sea views. With local amenities and the beach close by, it is perfect for a family villa holiday or with a group of friends.

Travel has always been my passion, for just over 25 years I have had the pleasure of being a part of this wonderful industry and creating the most memorable holiday experiences for customers. Prior to joining SPL Villas, I spent most of my career working for a Tour Operator and specialising in tailor made holidays, detail is key and always ensuring the best customer experience.

I have been to the most amazing European countries where many of our villas are located and had the pleasure of getting under the skin of the country by exploring in a car, on foot or on bike, there is nothing better than living as a local, trying delicious food and wine, and the siestas of course (without having to reserve your sunbed)!

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Cyprus – Villa Coral Beach, Latchi

I love to visit Cyprus with my family, it holds many special memories of quality family time together and it is my go-to European destination. Pretty much all year-round sunshine, delicious catch of the day fish from the local fisherman and wine, what is not to love. As a family we enjoy exploring on foot and this villa truly is in an ideal location, immediate access to the sandy beach and perfect for exploring Polis, Latchi and the nature trails of Aphrodite. It is located not too far from Paphos airport so no long transfers. Once we have explored, we can retire peacefully by the pool, enjoy the sea views, and watch the beautiful sun set with a glass of Keo – just bliss !

With over seven years in the travel industry, I've developed a deep passion for creating unforgettable holiday experiences, particularly within the villa holidays sector. My love for travel began at a young age during numerous villa holidays with my family, sparking a lifelong enthusiasm for exploring new destinations. I've traveled extensively within Europe and the USA, and I'm always looking forward to expanding my horizons. I love speaking with customers and helping them plan their perfect getaways, ensuring they make lasting memories. TOP TRAVEL TIP: When exploring a new destination, don't forget to venture off the beaten path. Some of the best experiences aren't found in the guidebooks. So, be open to wandering down narrow streets, trying local eateries, and discovering charming spots. You never know what delightful surprises await!

Orlando gives the best of both worlds for everyone of all ages, you can have an action packed fun filled day, or a busy day shopping, but mostly you can relax and unwind in your villa with family and friends and just do nothing.

I have been in travel for 25 years, starting off as a modern apprentice in a Travel Agent and I have also worked for Tour Operators too. I have plenty of experience within the travel industry. I have been lucky enough to travel far and wide, yet there is still so much of the world I still need to see!

TOP TRAVEL TIP: Having a plan/itinerary for 1 or 2 days of your holiday, to ensure you get the most out of the destination. We tend to hire bikes and explore.

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Florida, Orlando - Villa Towhee

Orlando gives the best of both worlds for everyone of all ages, you can have an action packed fun filled day, or a busy day shopping, but mostly you can relax and unwind in your villa with family and friends and just do nothing.

I have been in the travel industry for nearly 30 years. Starting on a YTS scheme for a large travel agency group before working within an independent travel agency, homeworking and then working as a regional sales manager for a supplier before joining SPL Villas. I have been fortunate to have experienced many different types of holidays but always prefer a Villa for my own holiday!

TOP TRAVEL TIP: Don’t be too tempted to stay by your own private pool! Make sure to explore the region and truly live like the locals in your home from home!

FAVOURITE DESTINATION & VILLA: Villa Florita, Correlejo Fuerteventura.

The island is a firm favorite as we have been visiting for 20 years! With its dramatic volcanic landscape and so many beautiful unspoilt beaches its perfect for families and groups of friends looking to enjoy all of the different activities on offer such as surfing, wind & kite surfing, Paddle boarding, cycling and walking
